How can hypnotherapy help? There are many fears and misunderstandings about the use of hypnosis and hypnotherapy, and the myths and mystery that surround it are totally undeserved. What happens in hypnosis is very normal, certainly not magical, and produces positive and predictable results.Hypnosis is usually induced by the use of the therapist's voice, and although remaining fully aware, you will feel very relaxed. At no time will you "lose control", nor can you be manipulated in any way. Hypnosis is a totally natural phenomenon, is simply a very comfortable and relaxed state during which it is quite easy to converse sensibly with the therapist. Almost anyone can enter the hypnotic state easily. Hypnotherapy can help with many issues, some of which could include: It would be impossible to list all the issues that could be helped with hypnotherapy, so if you have a concern that is not shown, please do get in touch. I will be happy to chat with you to see if hypnotherapy, or indeed NLP or TFT can help. ![]() Smoking CessationI am passionate about helping clients to stop smoking and have a high success rate. I am also a member of the National Smoking Cessation Institute, and work closely with their clients to help them stop smoking.I run a two-session smoking cessation course, although the habit should be broken after the first session. Some hypnotherapists offer a smoking cessation service in one hour. And some of them are successful. However, it is important to me that the client not only stops smoking permanently, but that they don't adopt alternative habits to replace the smoking. By inviting the client to a second session, normally a week later, we can discuss how they are coping with not smoking, alleviating any areas of discomfort if there are any, and rectifying any negative habits they may have started as a result of stopping smoking, such as eating more than usual. I am also able to consolidate all of the new behaviours to allow the client to continue to be a non smoker for the rest of their life. Contraindications of HypnotherapyIf you suffer from epilepsy, schizophrenia or clinical depression, you should consult your GP before approaching a hypnotherapist. What is the fee?• A session of hypnotherapy, NLP and Energy Therapy lasts an hour. The fee is £50.• A smoking cessation course consists of two sessions and includes ongoing support if required. The fee for this is £150. • A past life regression session takes about an hour and a half, and costs £70. There is no extra charge for appointments held in the evenings or at weekends. |
